Jerrold Lonnell Coates, 47, of Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with second-degree murder while armed for the vehicular death of Office Terry Bennett on January 7, 2026 resulting from a crash on December 23, 2025, announced U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro.
